Affordable Housing Program

Enterprise also administers the Columbia Community Development Corporation's Affordable Housing Program, which builds new homes in the older neighborhoods of central Columbia , for low-to moderate-income families. For the majority of their projects, the CCDC partners with the Building Trades Program students of the Career Center , to provide a hands-on classroom and to lower the costs of construction. The City of Columbia provides special financing to help make the houses truly affordable for low-to moderate-income families. To date, the CCDC has built 18 new houses in the Central neighborhoods.
